The short version

  • No account is required to draw or join a game.
  • Your private gallery is saved in the browser on your device.
  • Linked-game data expires after 24 hours of inactivity.

What Threefold uses

Player names

The names entered for a game are used only to label each artist during that game. For a linked game, they are part of the temporary room data.

Drawings and photos

The three drawing sections are used to assemble the shared picture. When you choose a Magic Reveal, the drawing is securely sent to an image-generation provider so the seams can be connected and a new character can be created. Do not include faces, names, addresses, or other personal information in a photographed drawing.

Device storage

Threefold uses local browser storage for the private gallery and a random device identifier for game and reveal continuity. Clearing the site’s browser data removes this local information.

Where information goes

Threefold uses Netlify to host the app and temporary linked rooms. Drawing images used for Magic Reveals may be processed by xAI or OpenAI, depending on which provider is available. We do not sell personal information or use drawings for advertising.

Children and families

Threefold is intended to be played together with a parent, guardian, teacher, or other trusted adult. Please use first names or nicknames only and avoid putting personal details into drawings or room names.

Choices and deletion

Linked rooms are automatically removed after 24 hours of inactivity. You can remove the private gallery and device identifier by clearing Threefold’s website data in your browser or deleting the app and its website data.
